Le Senghor - Centre Culturel d’Etterbeek, Brussels
Far from their native Cantal, venturing onto the stage, the daughter's dance meets the father's cabrette – an Auvergne wind instrument similar to the bagpipes – in a free, playful, and unrestrained dialogue. The duo shakes up the rules, exploring transmission, desynchronization, and hybridization. Together, they push the limits of the folkloric framework to invent a new, vibrant, joyful, and emancipating bourrée.
Full of humor and self-deprecation, Anon jogar ina bourreira is a work at the crossroads of tradition and contemporary creation.
