Flanders Reading Day 2027 - Will I am, to shake or not to shake

Will I Am – To Shake or not to shake? Who am I? Who do I want to become? And how much of who we are is determined by the expectations of others? In Will I Am? Father and son John and Viktor (#LikeMe) Lammertijn dive together into the life and work of William Shakespeare. His famous words and characters form the starting point for a surprisingly contemporary performance about identity, dreams, choices, and the search for oneself. The fact that a real father and son are on stage together gives the performance a special dynamic. Different generations do not always look at life in the same way. That creates friction, but also a lot of warmth, humor, and recognition. Will I Am? is not a classic Shakespeare performance and certainly not a history lesson. Well-known quotes and ideas from his work are interwoven with questions that are just as relevant today. The result is a warm, funny, and at times touching performance. The performance is part of Flanders Reads Day 2027 in the library of Assenede. During the day, we put reading center stage and you can discover our Shakespeare expo with audio tour.
