Philosophy Breakfast

Le Petit's breakfast of 10/10 is canceled due to illness. The first meeting will therefore take place on 5/12/26. Learning and debating over coffee and croissants, with PhiloCité Theme 2026-2027: Reprogramming (our brains, our machines… our imaginaries) We will explore the myths, narratives, stories, and ideologies that shape our relationship with the world, with others, and with ourselves. The idea is to contrast, on the one hand, the narratives of dominant ideology (every problem finds a technical solution, work is necessary for the construction of our identity, our mental health is in a state of degradation, there is no alternative to technical and digital development – notably to AI which we must urgently learn to use properly, etc.) and, on the other hand, alternative narratives that stage other worlds through fictions or other ways of telling history, making visible what is invisibilized in the first narratives. The challenge? Working on a relationship with the future through a critical study of the narratives and imaginaries that lock it away like a blocked horizon. How can we relate to the future without thinking of ecosystem collapse, for example? Not that it should be denied, but rather focusing on the end of capitalism rather than the end of the world and thus more truly opening up alternatives that are at once ways of life, of being together, another economy (or another place for the economy in social organization), etc. 💳 4€ 🎫 Registration required
