Word artist Michel Kempeners brings literary pearls to life in this performance with a voice that touches and silences. Kapellmeister - formed by Herlinde Verheyden (cello) and Denis Roosen (organ and harmonium) - frames his words with equally glowing sounds that rejoice, thunder, and whisper. On the musical program are masters such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Arvo Pärt - compositions that fill the space with virtuosity, romance, and impressive depth. The magnificent Penceler/Smet/Thomas organ forms the center of this spectacle.
