Heather Nova broke through in 1994 with Oyster, an album that firmly placed her on the indie-pop map and garnered worldwide praise. Since then, she has been releasing award-winning albums with regularity and touring incessantly, with her live performances earning her a loyal fanbase. Her voice is called both powerful and angelic and knows how to enchant large festivals just as much as intimate theaters, accompanied by only a cellist.
In February 2025, her 13th album Breath and Air appeared, rich in melody, text, and arrangement, followed by a sold-out European tour. In March 2026, the live double album appeared with 19 songs, in which both old favorites and songs from the new album shine. Heather on guitar and Midori Jaeger on cello and backing vocals give the music an intense clarity and emotional power.
Heather says: “Singing live is magic, something that cannot be equaled in the studio. Sharing music with other souls reminds us of the value of human connection. That is gold.”
