Maria Angeles, 74, leads a quiet life within the close-knit Spanish community of Tangier. Her world wavers when her daughter Clara comes from Madrid to sell the apartment where she has lived her entire life. Determined to stay in the city that shaped her, Maria fights for her home and her memories. Along the way, she discovers, to her own surprise, the power of love and desire once again. ‘Every wrinkle we have testifies to the life we have been allowed to live.’ With those words, Maryam Touzani, together with the Spanish actress Carmen Maura, sketches a warm and moving portrait of aging that fully celebrates the love of life.
