Poupehan

Langhoirs Victorinen present "Poupehan" On November 27, 28, 30, and December 4, 5, 6, the Langhoirs Victorinen from Poperinge Poupehan present a contemporary tragicomedy about friendship, relationships, secrets, and everything we prefer not to say out loud. Two couples and a single female friend head together to a chalet in the Ardennes for a cozy weekend. But soon, messages, phone calls, and unexpected revelations cause old certainties to begin to wobble. What starts as a relaxed get-together grows into a confrontation in which humor and discomfort constantly stand side by side. The main roles are played by Saske Tetaert, Amélia Dehouck, Gregory White, Wim Denoulet, and Nele Theunynck. Also seen and heard are Aline Ameys, Mira Caulier, Mare Denoulet, Michelle Caulier, and Johan Halsberghe. A striking presence in the set design is the deer head, which from time to time comments on the human hustle and bustle below it with a philosophical reflection. Regisseur Raf Vandenberghe opts for a lively staging in which acting, music, light, video, and digital communication are closely intertwined with each other. Poupehan is a relatable performance about friendship, love, hidden feelings, and the sometimes painful question of how much we actually know about each other. Performances take place at cc Ghybe on Friday, November 27, Saturday, November 28, and Monday, November 30, and Friday, December 4, and Saturday, December 5 at 8 PM. There is also a matinee performance on Sunday, December 6 at 10:30 AM. Tickets cost 12 euros (10 euros for students and Opendoek members). Tickets for the Sunday performance with aperitif included cost 15 euros (12 euros for students and Opendoek members). Tickets can be ordered via www.langhoirs.be.
