re#encounter Hybrid trance jazz collective from Brussels. Ready for the swirling, danceable soundscape of the engaging Brussels collective re#encounter? With gnawa grooves, cumbia chants, griot stories, and ecstatic jazz improvisation, re#encounter creates a swirling, danceable world that breathes spontaneity, authenticity, and spiritual depth in a world-wise – but always 100% Brussels – sound. The collective embodies the essence of the city: a network of encounters, across differences. Undefined, chaotic, rich, and infectious. Every meeting or "encounter" is the creative force in the city of today. Re#encounter takes those encounters as a starting point for their musical journey, which began in 2023 on the initiative of Robbe Bey Latré. Now the collective is ready to unleash their first record ‘angels and demons at play’ on us. We were already allowed to listen, and were immediately sold. Expect no concert, but a shared ritual, an experience.
