Celebration concert: the voices of the City - Holly Hyun Choe, Esohe Weyden

Sinds Esohe Weyden the city poet of Antwerp is, she sings the city in her texts in colors and scents. She lets herself be carried away on the current of the Scheldt, finds inspiration in the voice of young people from Linkeroever, and looks with a nostalgic gaze at what the city means to her. Her city poetship culminates today in a big party with spoken word and (e.g. minimal) music by, among others, Arvo Pärt, Judith Weir, and Julia Wolfe, performed by the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra led by Holly Choe. During this concert, you celebrate together with the whole city in honor of the tenth anniversary of the magnificent Koningin Elisabethzaal. This concert also forms the festive conclusion of two years of city poetship. After the concert, you enjoy a cozy afterparty and book presentation.
