MusicCzech Philharmonic / Semyon BychkovBedřich Smetana’s Furiant and Dance of the Comedians kick off this evening as a powerful tribute to the Bohemian spirit of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. For over a century now, this orchestra has been the sound of the Czech Republic, and it is undoubtedly one of the world’s top orchestras.
Under the baton of Semyon Bychkov, one of Europe’s most respected conductors, this identity feels stronger than ever. His recent appointment at the Opéra de Paris and the international acclaim for his award-winning recordings highlight his status as a leading conductor. The collaboration with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra - acclaimed, internationally celebrated and recently extended to 2028 - feels completely natural: here, music truly comes home.
In this musical synergy, Behzod Abduraimov takes to the stage with Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3, and with this monumental work, he elevates the evening to new heights. To conclude, the Symphonic Dances by the same composer sweep us off our feet, a vibrant and dramatic whirlwind that lights up the Blue Hall.Fri 6 Nov · 20:00–23:55DE SINGEL Internationale Kunstcampus · Antwerp

TheatrePerfectly Happy 🍊 | Inspiration theater | CabaretWell past the halfway mark.
At least, that is how it feels.
As if life no longer lies endlessly ahead of you, but in the meantime has picked up quite a pace. You have already built up, experienced, tried, and postponed a lot. And yet that question sometimes lingers: am I actually living the way I want to live?
In Perfect Gelukkig takes Jeroen De Brabander you along recognizable stories, disarming humor, and intimate piano moments.
He tells, plays, and sings about a brain that sometimes helps you wonderfully and at other times expertly gets in your way. About small choices that can unexpectedly change a lot. And about what you discover when you stop running for a moment and look anew at what is truly important to you.
Not a classical lecture. Not a heavy play. Rather, inspirational theater that makes you laugh, feel, muse, and think.
Sometimes confrontational. Often surprisingly recognizable. Always human.
Jeroen, the piano… and you.
Perfect Gelukkig has meanwhile been performed more than ten times in Ghent, Antwerp, Eeklo, Roeselare, and at private events.
“A beautiful mix of humor and emotion.”
— Petra, Hasselt

PART II
We give the stage to a stand-up comedian. This week we share the stage with northern neighbor Meeuw Roovers.
Meeuw Roovers
Meeuw Roovers is a comedian and theater maker who makes you laugh with his absurd view on life and his neurotic charm. In 2026 he won the Audience Award during the Leids Cabaret Festival, playing himself directly into the spotlight as a striking new voice within cabaret.
Earlier in 2025 as a soloist he won both the Jury and Audience Award at the Amsterdams Studenten Cabaret Festival. He graduated from the Koningstheateracademie in 's-Hertogenbosch and won the Griffoen/Zuidplein Cabaret Festival with his cabaret duo.
Meeuw Roovers guarantees a mix of honesty, absurdity, and on-target jokes.Wed 11 Nov · 20:30–22:30Djingel Djangel · Antwerpfrom €5
MusicIMAGO MUNDI, Tears into light – listening to the lightWhat if sadness is not an end point, but a beginning? Tears into light builds around John Dowlands iconic Lachrimae a contemporary ritual in which mourning, memory, and hope keep each other in balance. The performance is rooted in conversations with residents of a residential care and palliative center. They give this ode to melancholy an unmistakably human voice: vulnerable, but rock-solid and devastatingly honest. Singing, lute, and the warm nurturing sound of the Armenian duduk melt new music by Vladimir Gorlinsky, Sufi poetry, texts by Fleur Pierets, and a visual narrative by Ria Verhaeghe into an intense experience, in which we listen and search for the light.Thu 12 Nov · 20:00–21:15AMUZ · Antwerpfrom €5
MusicUtopia Orchestra / Teodor CurrentzisTeodor Currentzis will undoubtedly keep you sharp and alert. Shostakovich's Violin Concerto No. 1 opens up a world awash with tension and underlying unrest: dark layers of sound, sharp contrasts, and a violin part that teeters between whispering and screaming. Daniel Lozakovich plays with an intensity that demands as much from the listener as it does from the soloist himself.
But the true highlight of the evening is Le Sacre du printemps. Performed by the phenomenal Utopia Orchestra and conducted by Currentzis, this groundbreaking masterpiece unfolds in an unforgettable, raw explosion of rhythm and energy. This performance is circled in red on the calendars of every serious music lover: a spectacular, almost revolutionary interpretation that revives the primal power of Stravinsky's music.
Two radical works that reinforce and challenge each other, brought together by Currentzis in one uncompromising experience.Thu 12 Nov · 20:00–23:55DE SINGEL Internationale Kunstcampus · Antwerp
MusicHerreweghe conducts Dvořák's Requiem - Philippe Herreweghe, Serafina Starke, Sophie HarmsThe gloomy month of November is the perfect time to commemorate the war and reflect on those we miss. And what offers more comfort than music? Antonín Dvořák also knew this, who reaches straight to the heart with his moving Requiem. A subtle chromatic leitmotif reminds the listener of the omnipresence of death. Do not expect superficial gestures or melancholy: this requiem radiates a courageous sadness that never becomes gloomy or tragic. Dvořák's greatest choral work is a fairly unknown pearl; in the list of great requiems, it is unjustly overlooked at times. A few years ago, Philippe Herreweghe also performed it together with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and the Collegium Vocale. Once again, they prove that Dvořák wrote the ultimate comfort music. MusicBjorn Eriksson & Nathalie DelcroixNathalie Delcroix (Laïs) and Bjorn Eriksson (Zita Swoon, Maxon Blewitt, The Broken Circle Breakdown) have been forming Eriksson Delcroix together since 2014. Until recently, they did that with their colorful, seven-piece orchestra, but now they return to the essence: the simplicity of a song, the fullness of the void, and especially that which brought them together in the first place: singing together. From now on, they go out with two: two voices and a guitar, with both cheerfulness and melancholy in the luggage rack. An (intimate) return to the essence. The merging of their voices gives a new shine to classical influences from country and bluegrass, while modern elements make the music fresh and recognizable. 2026 is a new beginning as a duo, with country music as one of their most important ingredients.Thu 12 Nov · 20:15–22:15Schouwburg Noord · Antwerpfrom €4
MusicTim Burton’s Universe by Mystery EnsembleWelcome to the fantastic worlds of Tim Burton! We invite you on a journey through the music that has made them unforgettable.
From the sparkling wonder of Alice in Wonderland to the festive magic of The Nightmare Before Christmas, and from the haunting lyricism of Edward Scissorhands to the eccentric brilliance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: this concert immerses you in the sound worlds that have shaped Burton's unique cinematic universe.

About the shows:
Namaste B*tches... I'm Back! The yoga industry's worst nightmare returns! Former yoga teacher-turned-comedian Kym Nelson is back on the mat. This time, she's come to make peace with yoga. With familiar faces, outrageous new characters and more spiritual nonsense than you can shake an incense stick at, Kym takes another hilarious look at yoga, wellness and those who take it all far too seriously. Expect larger-than-life characters, audience participation and a few uncomfortable positions. Because forgiveness is divine. But holding a grudge is apparently very yogic!

About Kym Nelson (kym_comedyplayground)
Kym is a writer and comedian whose performances blend storytelling, characters and physical comedy. Trained by leading UK comedy coaches and renowned theatre professor Philippe Gaulier, she has written and performed two solo shows and appeared at comedy clubs and festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe. About Mohna Joshi (mohnarocks)

Mohna has performed across the Netherlands, in major European cities and in festivals – Edinburgh, Limassol, Tallinn and recently at the Women in Comedy Festival in Manchester.Sat 14 Nov · 20:00–22:00Fameus - Zaal Zirkus · Antwerpfrom €8
