Tim Burton’s Universe by Mystery Ensemble

Welcome to the fantastic worlds of Tim Burton! We invite you on a journey through the music that has made them unforgettable. From the sparkling wonder of Alice in Wonderland to the festive magic of The Nightmare Before Christmas, and from the haunting lyricism of Edward Scissorhands to the eccentric brilliance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: this concert immerses you in the sound worlds that have shaped Burton's unique cinematic universe. At the heart of it is the music of Danny Elfman, Burton's longtime creative partner and one of the most distinctive film composers of our time. Elfman's music combines playfulness with menace and tenderness with grandeur, as a perfect reflection of Burton's visual imagination. In addition, unforgettable highlights from Corpse Bride, the cult classic Beetlejuice, the gothic grandeur of Batman, and the razor-sharp drama of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street will be heard. During this performance, Mystery Ensemble Burtons brings worlds to life in unique arrangements. Expect captivating melodies, powerful instrumental colors, and an atmosphere that shifts in the blink of an eye: from macabre to magical, from intimate to epic. This is not just a concert with film music, but a live theatrical experience. The mysterious magic of the evening arises from the interplay between the musicians, the surrounding architecture, lighting, and the music itself. Imagine yourself in a Tim Burton film!
