Fran Lebowitz touches down in Arenberg for an evening that is as witty as it is merciless. Expect no lecture, but a live conversation full of sharp observations, brilliant timing and opinions that pull no punches. Lebowitz talks about everything on her mind: from social conventions and tourists to technology, modern behavior and the small absurdities of daily life. With her unique mix of sarcasm, humor and intellectual elegance she dissects the world like only she can. And yes, there is room for questions from the audience… if you dare.Over Fran LebowitzFor more than forty years Fran Lebowitz has been a cult figure within American culture. She started as a columnist for Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine and broke through with her essay collections Metropolitan Life and Social Studies, which established her reputation as one of the sharpest social commentators of her generation. Her dry humor and uncompromising gaze made her a welcome guest in talk shows and films, and led to multiple collaborations with Martin Scorsese — including the HBO documentary Public Speaking and the Emmy-nominated Netflix series Pretend It’s a City.In addition to her literary work, Lebowitz is known for her sense of style, her outspoken aversion to modern conventions and her ability to make an entire room roar with laughter with a single sentence. An icon who remains as timeless as she is contrary.Instagram | FacebookENGLISH VERSIONThe queen of the sneer is cFri 6 Nov · 20:15Arenberg · Antwerp
