In De Antwerpse Zes In 2026, MoMu celebrates the 40th anniversary of the international breakthrough of the Zes van Antwerpen with a large-scale expo. For the first time, an official exhibition is dedicated to these six iconic designers. The expo highlights the unique journey that connects the six designers. It started with their education at the Koninklijke Academie for Schone Kunsten in Antwerp and resulted in six influential solo careers. Dirk Bikkembergs, Ann Demeulemeester, Walter Van Beirendonck, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Van Saene, and Marina Yee put Antwerp on the fashion map when they showed their collections at the British Designer Show in London in 1986. This led to their international breakthrough and established Antwerp's reputation as a fashion city. Their quirky designs influence the fashion world to this day. The autumn migration from north to south is slowly entering its final weeks. In the rear of the migratory legion, groups of common cranes usually still pass during this time towards their wintering areas in France and Spain. Usually, the bulk of these groups flies east of our country over Germany. With some luck, eastern winds also bring them over the Lage Landen. The best chance to enjoy this natural wonder is naturally in the far east of our country, namely the East Cantons. Furthermore, this region with its robust nature forms the ideal landscape for a strenuous nature walk. We also have the chance to see some species that we do not encounter so easily elsewhere. These can be other migratory birds such as bramblings, redwings and fieldfares, but also local species such as red kite, white-throated dipper, spotted nutcracker and great grey shrike.
