Book Festival: Meet & Greet Mark Elchardus with 'Popular sovereignty'

Who is actually in charge in our democracy? With 'Volkssoevereiniteit', Mark Elchardus, sociologist and author, raises fundamental questions about democracy, power, and the voice of the people. What does it mean when power lies with the people? How does the will of the citizen relate to political decision-making? And what challenges await our democratic society? Presenter and interviewer Wim Wilms, known from Radio BNL and the podcast channel De Verhalenjagers, enters into a live conversation with Mark Elchardus. Together they delve into the ideas behind the book and the social issues that concern us all. This event is part of Feest van het Boek (www.standaardboekhandel.be/feest-van-het-boek).
