'Near' lying-down concert

When the days get shorter and it gets quieter outside, the need for closeness grows. For togetherness, simplicity, warmth. Lying concert 'Near' is a sound experience that brings us together. Surrounded by deep tones, harmonies, and whispering sounds, you sink deeper into yourself and feel the connection with the other. You also feel the connection with every instrument and with every tone that resonates this evening. And given the small-scale concept of this type of concert, you also feel the connection with the musician. You can't get any 'closer'. At the beginning of winter and in the run-up to a new year, 'Near' invites you to slow down, to feel, and simply… to be close. Close to yourself, close to each other. In sound, in silence, in presence. A yoga mat, blanket, and pillow will be ready upon your arrival. So you don't have to bring anything yourself. Biografie Andy Vanbeveren is passionate about music and its effects on people. What once started with singing bowls and gongs has since grown into a collection of more than 350 instruments. Native American Flute, didgeridoo, handpan, tongue drum, all kinds of percussion and drums, numerous string instruments, piano, and many other world instruments belong to his unique collection. He completed various training courses at home and abroad and was able to learn from many great 'masters' in their field such as Hans de Back (singing bowls), Shree Krishna Shahi and Santa Ratna Shakya (singing bowls), Don Conreaux (gongs), Michael Telepary (Native American Flute), Nestor Kornblum (overtone singing),... Since 2010, he has more than 1000 concerts to his name. Not only throughout Flanders, but also in the Netherlands. He played at Tomorrowland, the Japanese garden in Hasselt, Casino van Blankenberge, numerous cultural centers, churches, etc. He is known for his lasting innovations in sound combinations. A passion that he now also knows how to interpret via live looping. In the past, he played together with other musicians such as Tylaine Van den Broeck (piano), Gilbert Isbin (lute), John Snauwaert (sax), Michael Telapary (American Native Flute), Nicolas Mortelmans (sitar), Hari Paudjal (bansuri flute), Hélène Philippart (bansuri flute and transverse flute), Manish Pingle (slide guitar), Catherine Maes (mezzo-soprano), Bart Gits (taiko), Kees Kort (shakuhachi), Aki Vergels-Sato (koto), Cantavita (overtone singing), etc. In addition, he has already accompanied numerous yoga sessions, meditation, team building, festivals, Ecstatic Dance, etc.
