After winning the prestigious Leids Cabaret Festival at the end of the first decade of the 21st century, ROY mainly toured the Netherlands with two full-length programs. When fate struck twice during that last tour, the universe seemed to want to make something clear to him. (He was electrocuted on stage in Rotterdam by his electric guitar, and not much later he got a thrombosis in his leg on the island of Texel.) All in all, Roy took it sportingly, ended his cabaret career, and went to explore other horizons in search of the meaning of all this. About 15 years later, he still hasn't figured out exactly what it was that the universe wanted to tell him. And so he continues where he left off. Armed with his guitar, an acoustic one this time, he will storm the stage again. Count on that to cause sparks!
