Comedy Oostende @ De Klisse - Bram Verstappen - More human

Bram Verstappen has been on stage for several years as ‘Meermens’. Under this name, he brings cabaret, comedy, and intimate life lessons in an acoustic jacket. Although he is (still) mainly known as a singer, he is increasingly profiling himself as a cabaret artist… and he is currently working on his first full-evening performance! He enters the stage this time as ‘Bram Verstappen’, as himself, because he has kept one aspect of his personality hidden on stage for a long time. In this performance, he breaks the silence and meets himself and the audience, in search of recognition, but above all in search of a relaxed evening in which laughter is central. Of course, the occasional song cannot be missing! Bram has played in various halls and on various occasions. For example, he provided the opening act for Jade Mintjens, Nigel Williams, Pieter Verelst, and Raf Coppens. No easy jokes with him, but sensitive humor that makes you both smile and think. In 2025, he made it to the final of the Nekka contest in Belgium and the semi-final of the prestigious Leids Cabaret Festival in the Netherlands. With that, he made an impression as an original and personal voice within the Dutch-language cabaret and comedy circuit. From the jury report of the Leids Cabaret Festival: “With versatile multi-instrumentalist Bram Verstappen, you sing along automatically. He plays the theater like a concert hall. (…) He shows that audience participation has no secrets for him. (…) That combination of music, charm, and comfort makes for a rich and full program.” Raf Walschaerts describes Bram as follows: “Cabaret with balls.”
