In the 16th century, many sculptors from the Lage Landen moved to Italy. Some returned after a few years, but others stayed and grew into the most leading sculptors of the Renaissance. De Italianen called them the Fiamminghi – the Flemings. The exhibition ‘Scultori Fiamminghi’ tells the story for the first time. Together with a guide, you will discover the expo, along masterpieces by Giambologna, Pietro Francavilla of Adriaen De Vries. You will get to know the Fiamminghi and discover how they left their mark on the Italian Renaissance.
