In the land of cables live plug-people, the roads are gray and the words are cold. On the other side of the hill lives the wild ‘wanderer’ Deuvel in a small house with a large nest on the roof. There in that nest sleeps a small, feather-light girl. Little Gaal. She hangs on his back for hours and he teaches her everything about the forest and who inhabits it.
A story about a little girl between big giants of wood
about the land of cables where everything must charge
about how everyone has wings at night
about secret listening cards with Deuvel-tunes
and how we are completely lost without them
deuvel: an ancient wooden connecting piece
wanderer: someone who prefers being on the road above all else
gaal: a song or tune
Reineke tells the story, Toon provides the sound for the forest and Vicky builds the world of Gaal and Deuvel with branches, threads, … Based on the book of the same name 'The story of Gaal and the Deuvel-tunes'.
