A shrub lives around the corner

Day breaks, a rubbish bin blows over, a plastic bag gets tangled in the branches of a tree, a pigeon poops on the statue, the crocuses bloom. In this wonderfully imaginative and wordless performance it’s not the residents who bring this delicate miniature town to life but the maple tree, the lamppost, the public toilet or even the beetles on the cobblestones. Creative collective Plankton brings this self-built miniature city to life with a soundscape by Frederik de Clercq. Winner of the BNG Bank Theatre Prize 2020, selected for the Dutch Theatre Festival 2021. Nominated for the Grünschnabel Award (Switzerland 2024) for young puppet theatre companies.
