PLUTO

Welcome to the Galileo Galilei multi-purpose hall!Today is finally the day: the long-awaited launch to Pluto. (Important! Due to an interplanetary mission, the Zumba class has been rescheduled as a one-off. All members have been informed of this.) Charon Tombaugh is about to make her grandfather, Clyde Tombaugh’s, greatest dream come true. He discovered Pluto, and now she is going to complete the journey he was never able to finish. All the way there. But there’s a problem: nobody wants to come along anymore. Ever since Pluto was reclassified as a dwarf planet, interest in it has cooled considerably. After all, who would go all the way to a dwarf planet? Can she still go? And does she have to reach a certain place to truly understand something? Or is the greatest dream sometimes not to be the first to reach a place, but to protect something? What does ‘discover’ actually mean? PLUTO is a visual and musical show full of humour, wonder and absurd space adventures. It’s about exploring without conquering. About daring to dream of something that seems out of reach. And about whether something becomes any less special simply because someone gives it a different name. An intergalactic family show about big dreams and small planets. 3... 2... 1... Shall we go?
