Building blocks

A seemingly simple production that completely tunes into the world of toddlers. Full of fun songs. 'Bouwstenen' consists of 100 red, yellow, blue, and green blocks of 60x25x15cm. With these blocks, objects recognizable to children are built blazingly fast and handily: a puppet theater, a castle, an ambulance, a home with a dad and a mom, and finally a tower. The guiding thread of the story is a doll, Robje het Popje, which is also made of (smaller) blocks. This doll is always present and indicates what needs to happen. Ilse Pilse, the player, tries to make it all come true. What makes it extra exciting is that the blocks do not fit perfectly, so that from time to time it looks like they are going to fall. Every now and then this actually happens. All events flow logically into one another and form a simple story.
