Not through chic Paris, fashionable St Tropez, or other places where you will encounter touristic influencers, but right past half-decayed mining villages, small hamlets in the countryside, and forgotten coastal spots. The two tour around in a van that also serves as a mobile photo studio: while JR sets up all kinds of photo projects in those villages, Varda registers in her unique way how the residents react to them.
