Uitbater Auggie Wren (brilliantly played by Harvey Keitel) takes a photograph of his little shop every morning at the exact same time, after which he receives his customers: regular customers, passers-by, friends, people with problems and dramas, kind-hearted people, people of all colors and creeds… The colorful microcosm of the shop provides a new vat of stories, jokes, and near-philosophical reflections every day. An incredibly warm, humane film, based on the work of successful American author Paul Auster.
