Marble Sounds has occupied a unique position in the Belgian music landscape for years. Met Leave A Light On, the band scored a straight-up Belpop classic in 2013, and since then, they have always continued to challenge themselves musically. For the new and sixth record 'Core Memory', frontman and driving force Pieter Van Dessel changed course. Piano and strings made way for a fuller, almost electronic and pure pop sound with synths in which the spirit of Giorgio Moroder and Top Gun wanders. “Metamorphosis successful,” according to the Dutch OOR. In their own country, too, the reviews were lyrical. HUMO described the album as “seamlessly forged indie pop with the fresh sincerity of a debut,” and De Morgen was “knocked over once again” by the sparkling pop songs. Come discover the new songs and enjoy a selection from the rich repertoire the band has built up over the past 15 years! Met Pieter Van Dessel (vocals, piano, guitar), Renée Sys (vocals and vibraphonette), Gianni Marzo (guitar and vocals), Brecht Plasschaert (keys), Gerd Van Mulders (bass and flugelhorn), Mattijs Vanderleen (drums). Bianca Steck is a Barcelona-born musician, singer, songwriter, and architect of British and German descent, who currently lives in Brussels. She followed a classical education in piano and clarinet and started writing her own music at fifteen.
