Garance is a young actress. She has talent, energy and a great zest for life. She lives from one small assignment to the next and tries to hold her own in the uncertain world of theater. Alcohol is gradually becoming more important in the process. At first it mostly seems to belong to partying: a glass of wine, going out, friends, infatuations. But slowly alcohol changes from something cozy into something Garance can no longer do without. Jeanne Herry does not turn alcoholism into a moralistic story. She shows how an addiction can nestle unnoticed into a normal life. Adèle Exarchopoulos plays Garance with enormous spontaneity and vulnerability. A sensitive, sometimes funny and above all very human film.
