We all know travel. Whether it’s a trip to the other side of the world, a weekend in a neighboring country, or going to daycare with a backpack for the first time: we go on a little journey every day. Often with great enthusiasm and joy, but sometimes also with awkwardness, fear, or homesickness. ‘Battoe’ is a performance about coming home in an ever-changing world. Two artists leave their familiar cocoon and go on a journey together. On a wooden musical raft with all kinds of hidden sounds, they cross borders and travel through a sea of different emotions. Step by step and wave by wave, they discover the complicated world and themselves a little more.
