Alps. is a Belgian indie rock band with a unique sound. Their signature soundscapes are an immersion into a melancholic and cinematic world, driven by the harmonious voices of brother and sister, Jesse and Maja. Their sound is often described as a combination of 'The War on Drugs' and 'Fleetwood Mac', but with a contemporary narrative about a world on fire and the ever-growing global resistance against all forms of oppression.
Their first EP, titled ALPS., was released by PIAS (Universal) in 2023. The EP was played on national radio stations, both in Belgium and abroad, after which they became 'band of the month' at Radio Willy.
At the moment, the band is working on a new full album together with American producer Robin Proper-Sheppard. The album will be released in the course of 2026 under the PIAS label.
Alps. consists of singer/guitarist/songwriter Jesse De Belder, Maja De Belder as backing vocal, Steve Herrijgers as bassist, Wouter Boeckmans on electric guitar, Bert De Pauw as drummer, and Wannes Minne on trumpet.
