Legend has it that Iwein Segers was conceived on April 1st, so no wonder he grew up to be the funniest person in the world. Iwein’s comedy career subsequently went in the most absurd directions. It is not for nothing that he is called ‘the Andy Kaufman of the Lage Landen’. Iwein became known to the public by amazing in the Comedy Casino Cup on Canvas; a year later, he won the audience award at the prestigious Leids Cabaret Festival. Something is always happening on stage, nobody really knows what, and yet it is funny. Iwein Segers has an absurd view of life, ‘comedy for comedians’ it is said, but ordinary people are also welcome.
