Café-Chantant with The Bonnie Blues Music

Café-Chantant with The Bonnie Blues

Thu, 11 Feb 2027 · 20:15
OC De Vonke, Heule
Free
The Bonnie Blues is an acoustic trio that sounds like the interwar period in a café chantant in the Seefhoek or a vaudeville act from a funny black-and-white film. The Andrew Sisters of The Mills Brothers, but then full of (un)intentional slapstick. Laura Vanden Heede, Juno Kerstens and Nele Paelinck all three sing and accompany themselves on guitar, double bass, and violin. They bring well-known and unknown songs in the style of the 20s to 50s – from slowfox and danceable classics to pure cabaret. The Bonnie Blues has already been on very diverse stages in the Benelux, Germany, and Switzerland. They even took a trip to Benin. They shared the stage with, among others, Bart Buls, Guy Swinnen, Roland, Jan Hautekiet, Walter Broes, Stef Kamil Carlens, Frank Vander Linden, Tine Reymer, … Voor de Radio 1 session around Johnny Cash in OLT Rivierenhof they played the role of The Carter Sisters. Also at Festival Dranouter, Labadoux Festival, De Roma, Maanrock, 24 UUR LIVE Sportpaleis, … they brought their humorous music. Performance starts at 20:15 - doors at 19:45 No reservation possible
