Lieve Blancquaert - We Are Europe

The fall of the Berlijnse Muur motivated photographer and journalist Lieve Blancquaert to undertake an epic journey across Europe with the camper. In all 27 member states of the Europese Unie, she went in search of the roots of our identity. She wanted to hear and feel what holds us together and what divides us. Her many personal encounters make it clear time and again that our own language, history, worries, desires, and dreams are much more universal than we might think at first glance. Dé Europeanen do not exist, but yet we are connected to each other in many ways, whether we want to or not. In hundreds of penetrating images and dozens of colorful stories, Lieve Blancquaert shows the complexity, diversity, and beauty of this fragile continent as if in a travel diary.
