The Penguin Lessons

In the year 1976, Tom takes a job in Buenos Aires as a teacher at a British boarding school. Despite the political violence prevailing in the city, the school principal is determined to calmly continue school activities. After the school still has to close because of a coup d'état, Tom travels to Uruguay to party there. Along the beach he comes across an oil-soaked penguin. He rescues the animal and smuggles it along to Argentina. Not only does Tom find a friend in him, the penguin ultimately serves as a sounding board and brings about changes throughout the entire school.
