Cula Mzansi - Africa Sings

In December, a warm South African breeze blows through Lommel when Cula Mzansi settles in De Adelberg. This a cappella quartet brings an enchanting concert full of harmonies and rhythms and invites you to sing along yourself during a unique workshop, in which singing, rhythm and fun are central. Pure voices and South African energy Cula Mzansi brings together four exceptional voices from South Africa. With minimal percussion and even richer harmonies, they take you on a musical journey through the history, culture and sounds of their country. They switch effortlessly between genres and combine power with refinement. International class The name says it all: Cula means ‘song’, Mzansi refers to South Africa. Their mission therefore resonates in every note. The quartet previously stood on stage with Sioen during Sioen Plays Graceland, an ode to Paul Simon. Zangeres Stella Khumalo worked together with greats like Miriam Makeba, Paul Simon, Stef Bos and Simply Red, and her voice even sounds on the soundtrack of The Lion King. Together with Vuyo Tshuma and Vus’umuzi Nhlapo, she has formed a close musical bond for more than fifteen years. Not to be missed. Tip!
