Wanderink celebrates childlike wonder: looking becomes a game, and image, dance and music together make room for imagination. For children and adults alike. Wanderink is a dance performance in which a drawing comes to life. On a large, white, sloping surface, a draftsman, two dancers and a musician build a new universe live. A line becomes a figure. A figure becomes movement. Movement asks for sound. Thus, a playful journey full of rhythm, shapes and surprises is created here and now — a story without words, but with a lot of feeling. Anastassya Savitsky dives into the world of drawing together with dancer Libby Ward, musician Tim Vanhamel (Millionaire) and visual artist Marlies Vanderstraeten. In a world where loud slogans and shocking images overwhelm the child's brain, Savitsky offers a sensitive rebuttal by entrusting all authority to the (childlike) imagination. She does not choose a message or a straightforward story but engages the young audience as an authoritative storyteller. What (alternative) world do you see?
