Short film evening WOEKER

Five short films about trans lives, bodies, and desire — sometimes intimate and personal, sometimes wild and imaginative. In 3xMina we follow Mina during three nights in Cannes, where performance, desire, and identity blur. The Jezebels takes us into the queer pole dancing community of Brussels, where friendship and chosen family take center stage. In In Purebred, a trans man returns to the apartment of a lover during a heatwave after taking a pregnancy test. If I’m Here It Is by Mystery takes us to a future Rio where a group of trans and queer witches take on a violent order. Who is your first love? looks back at a special trans friendship that arises in a Swiss village from play and first crushes. Specifically for Cinema ZED Hasselt Van November 13 to 30, there will be an exhibition in the foyer within the framework of Transgender Awareness. Through an open call, WOEKER brought together trans, non-binary, and gender-fluid people from the Hasselt region for a socio-artistic trajectory in which they shared experiences and engaged in dialogue with each other about their artistic work, resulting in a first group exhibition. The short film evening will be introduced by the organization.
