Hasselt mèèn Stad by the Limburg Vocal Ensemble

Between 1978 and 1982, three revues were created in the Hasselt cultural center. The texts of Jos Ghyusen and Louis Verbeeck - incidentally in the rich Hasselt dialect - and wonderful melodies of Miel Cools each time ensured an enthusiastically-cheering audience. To ensure this richness is not lost, it was decided to release a selection of this on CD in collaboration with 'Het Limburgs Vocaal Ensemble' led by R. Luts, soloists L. Verbeeck, P. Bruninx, T. Klinnkers, P. Rietveld, and 'Het Hasselts Salonorkest' for which P. Pieters wrote special orchestral arrangements. Anyone who wants to enjoy the unforgettable atmosphere of back then once again now gets the chance because within the framework of the dialect days 'Kalle & Klappe', the non-profit organization 'Hasselt mèèn stad' in collaboration with 'Vl@s-seniorenvereniging' is organizing 2 concerts where the aforementioned choir and soloists as well as Hasselt organist M. Libert will bring a selection from this CD.
