Cantico 40 years, Anniversary concert

Forty years of music, friendship, and memories. That is what the mixed choir Cantico from Buggenhout is celebrating with a festive anniversary concert in GC De Pit. Cantico has grown over four decades from an enthusiastic youth choir into a mature choir with a rich musical history. From the first concerts and foreign choir trips to high-profile projects like Les Misérables and Miss Saigon; from kleinkunst and Christmas concerts to contemporary music and Eurosong: the past forty years have delivered quite a few special moments up. For this anniversary, Cantico takes you on their journey through 40 years of choral music. From classical to musical, from kleinkunst to contemporary repertoire: familiar melodies, surprising arrangements, and beautiful memories come together in one festive program. Under the direction of conductor Maarten Vergauwen, Cantico looks back on a rich past, but above all also forward. Because after all those years, one thing remains unchanged: the love for music and the power of singing together.
