Hola Frida Réalisé by: Karine Vézina & André Kadi – Canada/France – 2024 It’s the story of a little girl who is different. Her world is Coyoacan in Mexico. Sparkling, vibrant, everything interests her. When trials arise, she faces them thanks to a boundless imagination. This little girl is named… Frida Kahlo! Much more than just a cinema session, it’s a piece of cake! Organized every 3rd Wednesday of the month, we offer you a cinema session for young audiences aged 6-12 with varied and quality programming. A moment of conviviality where the pleasure of the film is prolonged on the taste buds during a delicious snack. A moment to share as a family. Admission is free for grandparents accompanied by their grandchildren. Something to promote intergenerational meeting during which they can share an afternoon where culture, fun, and gluttony mingle. A rich and varied programming The films are chosen with care for the richness of the direction and the interest of the themes they address. But also for their spirit of discovery, exploration, and openness to the world and to creation. Particular attention is paid to the animation techniques used to thus present the different facets of graphic creations (manga, modeling clay, stop motion, watercolor technique…) We animate each session with an introduction, a brief explanation evoking the conception of the film, its history, its characters. Also explaining what motivated the choice of the film. A local partnership The snack is made by our new partner Artos located in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre. This day center welcomes 25 adults, men and women, in a situation of intellectual and/or motor disability. Their pedagogical project revolving around baking, this collaboration makes perfect sense. Be careful, however, reservations will be closed 72 hours (3 days) in advance to give them time to make the snacks.
