Curious glances - A dementia-friendly drop-in guided tour

Every three months, the KMSKA organizes a special thematic tour for people with dementia and their informal caregivers. Looking at art can have a particularly positive influence on people with dementia, by stimulating senses, exploring emotions, evoking memories. Together with a museum guide, you will calmly look at a few carefully selected works of art. The guide will accompany you in looking and ask stimulating questions, creating space for an open and meaningful conversation. The dementia-friendly tours are organized by the KMSKA in collaboration with Alzheimer Liga Vlaanderen and Orion, the regional expertise center Antwerpen van Dementie Vlaanderen. Reservation is necessary, for both the tour and admission ticket: Call 03/224 73 74 from Monday through Friday between 10 AM and 12 PM. An admission ticket is free for the informal caregiver. The person with dementia chooses from our rates (20, 10 or 0 euros). The guided tour is offered to you by Alzheimer Liga Vlaanderen. Duration: approx. 60 min. Whoever wishes can go for a drink after the tour, in a group, together with a hostess from the League.
