Patrick Riguelle, Cooreman & De Schepper – 80 years of pop classics in a personal jukebox

Riguelle, Cooreman & De Schepper (R,C & D) Plans are forged in rehearsal spaces, there's no escaping that. Bassist Franky Cooreman, boss of such a space, together with friend and musical kindred spirit Patrick Riguelle, compiled a list of songs they had once played together during their lives. About a hundred songs presented themselves spontaneously, about forty were retained for further investigation. Kindred spirits that they are, they both thought the same thing: Where is Lieve De Schepper, with her beautiful voice and percussion? And presto, a trio was born! A personal Jukebox, from Dylan to Ann Peebles, George Harrison to Iris DeMent, Kevin Ayers to XTC, and everything in between, before, and beside. 80 years of the best pop songs – because that's what they are – in the most sober way.
