There There Company & fABULEUS

Oui. Non. Attention. combines the assets of the energetic dance performances of fABULEUS with the connecting power of There There Company. 'Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity', the French philosopher and activist Simone Weil once said. In an era in which our attention is constantly fragmented by endless stimuli and distractions, we wonder what happens when we consciously focus on the other person, on our body, and on our environment. Starting from this idea, young acrobats encounter the artistic and physical language of There There Company. Partner acrobatics requires a special way of attention to the other person, to each other, and to the small physical signals that help estimate balance and strength. Attention is understood here as an act of responsibility and a means of connection. The spectators sit in a u-shaped scenography close to the stage. Because of that proximity, they feel the intense attention of the performers for each other.
