FROM AGE 8 Jef and Marica are hindered by their differences, their ways of thinking and seeing the world. Their partnership does not seem to be able to find common ground. Too different to get on the same page, too connected to ignore each other. At the heart of this duo is an iron wheel, simultaneously a breaking point and a meeting point. It is the place of exchange, of transformation. Through it they learn to communicate, collapse together, and get back up to start over. Their bodies seek a language without grammar, giving life to an intense physical dialogue, at once metaphorical and abstract, in which the encounter between differences becomes their creative motor. What does it mean to be two without merging together? Can you coexist without compromises, without fusion, without hierarchy? 'In Difference' does not give an answer. It enacts it.
