Cynthia Fleury When Cassandre discovers an alarming lead level in the river water of her city, she sounds the alarm and denounces the mega-factory that employs her. Children get sick, some die. Accused then rejected, she sinks into social death. Today, entrenched by the river, she strives to give a burial to the ruins of her past. On this piece of rock where time stretches, two hydras coexist with her and announce in their turn a catastrophe to come: a storm is about to ravage everything. Mais Cassandre refuses to hear, captive of the memory of the disappeared. To save her from herself, the hydras then launch into a strange theater, waking the ghosts of her old struggle, pushing Cassandre into a necessary initiatory journey. CASSANDRE, a true contemporary mythology, stages a fragmented whistleblower who, through the play of incarnations and the power of the narrative, faces her past to regain her courage and rebuild society.
