MELIC

In Melic bring Shalom Gramicciolo and Mar Olivè Nieto van If Circus a moving tribute to centuries-old knitting traditions. This contemporary circus performance is about old age and the fragile beauty that lies within it, about the value of knowledge passed from hand to hand, and about what happens when you bring thread, movement, and memory together. The ropes used in the performance were hand-woven the day before by participants of the Knitting Memories workshop, with their personal stories intertwined within them. Thus Melic is never completely the same, and the audience literally carries a piece of it with them.
