David Vandyck announces a brand-new chapter within his successful Tura story: ‘De Tura Collectie – Gospel & Kerst Special’. A new concert series in which he pays tribute to the King of the Flemish song during the Christmas period: Will Tura! For more than ten years, David Vandyck has been building a musical homage to Will Tura with great care and respect. That journey had a first highlight in 2015 with the album ‘David Vandyck Zingt Will Tura’, which was listed in the Ultratop Album Top 100 for no less than 37 weeks and was followed by a completely sold-out tour. Ten years later, that success was convincingly continued with the tour ‘De Tura Collectie’, which premiered in 2025 in a sold-out Casino Blankenberge and was again warmly and enthusiastically received by the audience in Flanders. This project also left its mark on the radio. The single ‘Stapelgek Op Jou’, a cover of Will Tura from 1986, grew into a public favorite over the past year and received the highest rotation on Radio2 for 23 weeks. That strong musical performance also earned David Vandyck the award ‘Beste Zanger’ during the Loftrompetten 2025, a recognition from Radio2, MENT, SABAM, and VLAPO. With ‘De Tura Collectie – Gospel & Kerst Special’, this story is now being naturally deepened. After all, David Vandyck has had a strong tradition of Christmas concerts throughout Flanders for years. Due to the success of ‘De Tura Collectie’, the time is ripe to weave that Christmas tradition with the rich oeuvre of Will Tura. Throughout his career, Will Tura recorded numerous gospel and Christmas songs, so there is more than enough authentic material to draw from. In addition, a number of timeless Tura classics will also resonate that fit perfectly with the emotional world of Christmas and connection. Songs like ‘Wat Je Diep Treft’, ‘Ik Mis Je Zo’, ‘Alleen Op De Wereld’, and ‘Hoop Doet Leven’ receive an extra layered, warm, and modest interpretation in this new concert series. ‘De Tura Collectie – Gospel & Kerst Special’ will be a concert evening in which nostalgia, singing together, emotion, and hope meet, carried by music that has connected people for generations.
