The devotional power of Anton Bruckner immediately sets the tone, and opens with a world full of deep spiritual power - which seamlessly transforms into the clear, festive polyphony of Johannes Eccard. The dreamy arrangement that Jan Sandström made of the old classic Es ist ein Ros entsprungen marks the transition to the refined French colors of Francis Poulenc and the contemporary voices of Gabriel Jacksons and Morten Lauridsen: a warm sound bath with shimmering harmonies that evoke a heavenly glow.
