LÉZARD + ROSIE STUART in muziekclub N9

With a splashing mix of post-punk, disco, glam, new wave, and electroclash, Lézard finds itself on the fault line between comedy and tragedy. Lézard's songs unfold like a comic play and the cacophony behind the scenes. Debut album 'Que Se Passe t-il' (2026, Mayway Records) is a diorama in which heartbreakers, voyeurs, escapists, and dreamers mingle under a shattered disco ball. The rebellious disco-punk dominates body and mind impetuously. In 2023, Lézard crowned itself Sound Track Laureaat and in 2024 and 2025 the band was Artist in Residence at muziekclub N9, a trajectory that only further sharpened their live reputation. The rocking singer-songwriter and Ghent troublemaker Rosie Stuart opens the evening. She colors her songs 100 percent black and white, 0 percent gray. Sometimes Rosie Stuart reminds one of her mother from the Kortrijk cult band Midnight Men. Others hear echoes of Sinéad O’Connor, PJ Harvey of Patti Smith in her captivating voice. Together with Kamiel Bossuyt (guitar), Tibo Polleunis (drum), and Jannes Van Houcke (bass), Rosie tackles the walls and the people around her, in a confrontation in which she fights the audience but also herself. Rosie Stuart is East Flemish laureate of Sound Track 2025 and is Artist in Residence at muziekclub N9 in 2026. The band won in January De Nieuwe Lichting van Studio Brussel with single ‘Cupid’.
