In the late 1990s, eight-year-old Sasha moves with her Canadian-Hungarian family to idyllic Vancouver Island. As she explores her new surroundings, the difficult and unpredictable behavior of her older brother Jeremy puts increasing pressure on the family. Sasha does not understand what is tormenting him, but keeps seeking his closeness.
In her feature film debut, Sophy Romvari weaves memory and imagination. She follows Sasha as a child and as an adult, when she tries to reconstruct her childhood through photos and home videos. This creates a personal story about growing up, loss, and the memories a family carries with it.
