Boogie Beasts celebrate their 15th anniversary and 100 years of R.L. Burnside with a unique album and a new live show.
De Belgische band Boogie Beasts interprets their love for raw blues in their own idiosyncratic way, and it sounds something like The Black Keys jamming with John Lee Hooker in the early hours of some illegal party, or Morphine on a psychedelic trip with Little Walter, or R.L. Burnside accompanied by the young Rolling Stones during a juke joint gig.
Since their first performance in 2011, they have been turning numerous clubs and festivals into crazy parties. Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, the Czech Republic, Spain... Everywhere they go, the audience is won over.
The band has also been the opening act for, among others, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Sonics, and Andre Williams.
All their albums received rave reviews from renowned magazines such as Rolling Stone France, Classic Rock Magazin Deutschland, OOR, etc.
In 2020, the band released the single 'Howl', mixed by the godfather of Detroit garage rock Jim Diamond (The White Stripes, The Sonics). The subsequent album 'Love Me Some' was voted '4th Beste Album of 2021' a year later by the listeners of the Belgian national radio station Classic 21, which described Boogie Beasts as 'indispensable players in the European blues-rock scene'.
They presented their next album 'Neon Skies & Different Highs' in May 2024 at a sold-out Botanique in Brussels, and according to the Netherlands' oldest and largest music magazine OOR, it is an 'incredibly groovy record'.
On April 12, 2025, the band will release the EP 'Live At Het Depot', in a limited 12” vinyl edition for Record Store Day.
In 2026, Boogie Beasts will hit the road again with a completely new live show: a fiery ode to R.L. Burnside and the Hill Country Blues - the music that lies at the foundation of the band's origin.
This is not a style they ever picked up - it is where it all began for them. The groove, the rawness, the trance-like drive: it is anchored in their DNA.
That is why they know how to bring this music to life live like no other, with the irresistible energy they have been known for for years now.
The setlist contains work from \"Don't Be So Mean!\", supplemented with other classics from the genre.
This is Boogie Beasts at their best: raw, pure, and straight from the gut.
With their infectious energy, these four gentlemen deliver a dirty and irresistible sound every time.
