Effel Quartet

Het Effel Quartet is a young and international saxophone quartet, founded in 2024 at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel. Four musicians from four countries, one shared drive: to give the saxophone a powerful, contemporary voice. Together, Kristóf János Havasi (Hungary), David Patyra (Germany), Jorge Esteban Larreina (Spain), and Kacper Puczko (Poland) quickly grew into one of the most promising new quartets on the European scene. In record time, they conquered prestigious stages such as Bozar and Flagey and performed throughout Europe. Their repertoire is as versatile as their background: from Bach, Debussy, and Shostakovich to contemporary creations, with a strong focus on originality and rarely heard works.
